The installation of the first vessels for the hydrogen purification, drying, and conditioning units marks a significant step toward the delivery of our hydrogen treatment units. At the Gronau-Epe site, Silica Verfahrenstechnik GmbH is supplying a total of three of these process trains to RWE Gas Storage West GmbH. These systems will ensure that hydrogen extracted from underground storage meets the required purity for injection into the national hydrogen backbone.
This project allows Silica Verfahrenstechnik to further expand its proven expertise in gas purification into the area of underground hydrogen storage and to strengthen its position in this strategically important market. Being part of the GET H2 Nukleus project is a source of pride, and we extend our sincere thanks to the entire RWE Gas Storage West GmbH team for the excellent cooperation on this demanding and pioneering initiative.
